For many anglers, Dry Fly fishing is pinnacle of the sport. In bygone days it was regarded as an art so difficult that only a few privileged anglers could attempt it. Nowadays fishing with a Dry Fly is relatively commonplace and is practiced on both Rivers and Still Waters. To find arising fish, identify the insect the Trout is feeding on and cast to that fish. Then watch that fly with breathless anticipation as it floats towards the Trout. Then see it rise in the water and take it down off the surface, is a wonderful experience. One that is treasured by all anglers.
