Description
Hanak Bicolour Indicator orange / fl. red
For many years the name “Hanak” has stood for innovative products in the nymph fishing sector. This includes the Hanak Bicolour Strike Indicator.
In nymph techniques in the style of the stretched line (e.g. in ‘French Nymphing’) no classic bite indicators are used on the water surface, as these unnaturally accelerate the free drift of the nymph near the bottom. Instead, sighters, which do not carry the weight of the nymph, are used. The bites are felt due to special mounts, leaders and thanks to sensitive rods (#2 – #4).
This Indicator Line from Hanak is used in the ‘Euro Nymphing’ – as the nymphs’ techniques are often summarized – to better observe the leader and drift. The monofilament is colored so that you can see it hanging in the air against many different backgrounds. It changes color every 60 cm (fluo orange/fluo red) and can be shortened to the right length when coming from the spool.
With 25m per spool the material is sufficient for a long season on the river. Between tippet and sighter you can connect a small Pitzenbauer ring as a secure connection or knot a perfection loop in the tricolour indicator. The tippet is made of fluorocarbon or nylon (for nymph fishing we recommend the stiffer ABR) and can be chosen according to water level and target fish.
A typical setup looks like the following: nymph leader (min. 15 ft.) + 30 cm visual aid + 150cm to 200cm leader tip
