Description
Long Shank Nymph Stick Fly Lime
Sedge hatches are important on most trout waters, but before they occur the larva form of the fly is creeping about the bottom. Trout feed on the larvae, or caddis grubs, one of which provides a sizable meal. The larvae build tubular protective cases of whatever materials are available, but the trout eat them whole. The Stick Fly imitates one of these cases. Fish the fly slow and deep on a floating or sink-tip fly-line and long leader.
