Black Pennell – Wet Fly

The Black Pennell is part of a small range of patterns, including the Claret Pennell.  The Black Pennell makes a passable imitation of a Midge Pupa.  It could be held to represent any number of black midges and beetles to be found in still waters and many anglers include a Black Pennell on their cast.  Also, an excellent pattern for Sea Trout.
