Description
The Blue Dun – Wet Fly
This wet fly, the Blue Dun is a Wet Fly with a long lineage going way back to the time of Charles Cotton.
Each part of the British Isles has its Blue Dun pattern, some winged, some hackled, some wet, some only fished dry.
It is not really certain what natural insect the Blue Dun imitates; however, Alfred Ronald said it changes into the Red Spinner so we can assume that it is yet another fly that represents the Large Dark Olive.
