Though fished in many parts of the British Isles, the Snipe and Purple Wet Fly is as Yorkshire as the Yorkshire pudding.  Ask any fly fisherman from that county what fly he would not be without, and the reply would come back ‘Snipe and Purple’.  This fly is a Wet version of The Iron Blue.
